Professional Flying Trapeze

In the Las Vegas Circus Center Professional Flying Program students learn everything about the art of flying trapeze. We offer flyer and catching programs and teach everything from swing mechanics for larger tricks to improving style to get students show-ready.

Eligibility Requirements

Students must meet the following requirements prior to professional program application. New students will be required to book a private 1-hour assessment prior to approval of program entry. Students must be at least 14 years old to enter and less than 230 pounds (105kg) to be eligible.

Program Details

The classes normally meet on weekday mornings (Monday through Friday) and are taught by our professional flying and catching coaches.

Flyer Physical and Skill Requirements

Pro-flyer students must also meet these minimum physical requirements to join our professional flyer program.

Men

• 30 Second Static Hang
• 5 Pull-ups
• 10 shoulder shrugs
• 10 V-Ups
• 5 Leg Lifts

Women

• 30 Second Static Hang
• 3 pull-ups
• 7 shoulder shrugs
• 10 V-Ups
• 3 Leg Lifts

Skill Requirements

• Leave the fly board unassisted
• Flying without safety lines
• Dismount to the net safely, without safety lines
• Hook the fly bar
• Remove raise bar
• Throw flyer return bar
• Successfully catch and return trick in or out of safety lines

Catcher Physical and Skill Requirements

Pro-catcher students must also meet these minimum physical requirements to join our professional catcher program.

• 30 Second Static Hang
• 5 pull-ups
• 10 shoulder shrugs
• 10 V-Ups
• 5 Leg Lifts
• Rope climb to reach mark
• 60-second hands-free upside-down hang
